Enge theduven...

Was trying hard to write a post, aana veetla net illa :( Now that it has come, I'll start visiting blogs and writing some if I can :D

En amma complain pannitrundhanga naanga velilaye kootite poga mattenrom-nu (kadhaiya keteengala, naan inga imsai paduthalam-nu kootitu vandha, velila kootitu poganumam!), so we decided to go to a safari park (amma animal lover-ama) on Saturday and then windsor castle, stonehenge and Bath on Sunday.

We rented a car for the trip, took along wih us a couple of friends (who happen to be a couple as well). First day kilambinom, and went to the safari park. Nyayama sollunga, safari park-na singam puli ellam velila suthum, naama carla window-va close pannitu parkanum, right? Pakkathula tiger nadandhu poitruku, en amma window-va open panni parkanumnu adam pidikaranga (?!) One of our companions commented "vitta neenga puliya pakkathula kooptu rasam sadham ootuveenga poliruke?" which reminded me of the way my mom brought up our dogs - endha oorlayavadhu naikutti-ku paruppu sadham, adhoda ghee kalandhu koduthu parthirukeengala?

So yeah, safari park ellam mudichuttu we drove back with a lot of wrong exits on roundabouts, driving on the buslanes etc (round about parthale nervous aara alavuku aayiten, ethanai thadavaidhan sutharadhu girivalam madhiri?).

The next day was quite similar in terms of driving, and Windsor castle-la namma Tipu Sultan crown/possessions ellam parthu vayitherichal pattutu, we went to Stonehenge. Aniyaya idam adhu, naalu kallai kotti vachuttu tourist spot aakitanunga!! So ellam mudichuttu we returned to London, dropped off the friends and veetu kitta park pantu, we retired for the night.

"Ennapa idhu, idho nikkudhe namma car"-nu ketta, adutha shock - "Usha, that's not our car, ours was a Ford Fiesta, and this is something else"

Ada iraiva, evanoda car-ayo open panna try pantoma, edhavadhu cc-tv la record achuna namma gadhi? appadi-nra thoughts-a ignore pantu we started looking for the car, and well, it just wasn't there! Pochu da, raavoda raava thookitanunga-nu yosichitrukache, I had a sudden thought - what if it was towed away? Seri, pakkathu veetai keppomnu ketta, the lady there confirmed that it was towed away the previous night :( Thappa park pannitomam - night-la yaruku parking boundaries ellam kannuku theriyudhu?? Err...actually naan adhai gavanichen, aana I didn't think that was a problem....until I now saw my guy staring at me :D

We spent the next half hour trying to figure out which company had towed away the car (padu paavi pasanga, oru notice koodava vittutu poga mattanga?) and ended up paying £260 - idhuku tholainje poirukalam, it would have just cost us £100!

En pirandhai magale....

To all that are concerned about my absence, illa illa, kc-ku onnume aagala...just that there are a lot of personal things going on like shifting houses (naanga ellam navagragam madhiri, idam mathitte irupom ;) ) and having parents coming over etc etc...adhanala veetla samaikardhuke time pathala (well, naan samaikaradhe oru movie durationku pogum :D). Thanks for asking, just saw all the comments and oru pulambal polambidalamnu vanten ;)

Right now it is my mom's turn to stay with us (after I tortured my mil to some extent - indha sani dasai sani dasai-nu solvangale, adhai turn eduthu anubavikkaranga). The first thing my mom said when I called her here was "paavam inga rendu kuzhandaigalum - adhavadhu en anna-vum anni-yum kuzhandaigalama - enna panvanga naan anga vanta?", does this by any remote chance mean that she gave birth to only one kuzhandai, and the other one happened to be born as kottan?? Idhu ennanga aniyayama iruku, naan 6 varushama have been alone under the pretext of working away from home, appolam ennai yarum kuzhandai-ya ninaicha madhiriye nyabagam illaye?!

Veetuku oru maram valarpom madhiri, veetuku oru bekku valarpomnu enga kudumbathula oru pazhakkam iruku. It just turned out to be me in mine ;) For example, naan school padikkara timela edho oru yearla coffee prices just shot up, so my dad introduced a new rule that we should drink milk and no more coffee. Seri, appa soltare-nu naanum kaalaila evening ellam paal-ai mattum kudichitrundhen. I used to have the habit of locking myself in the bedroom and study, and one fine day I happened to come out for something else...and guess what, hall full-a coffee vasanai!! Ennada idhu, naamalam milk dhane kudikarom-nu ellar kaiyayum partha, everyone had a tumbler with coffee inside!! Till this day, I don't drink coffee :( but coffee addicts ellam partha thittama vidardhe illa ;) vayitherichala vera enga kottardham?

Idhellam kooda ok, naan Bangalore ponappuram I had to put up in a PG and anga saapadum seriya irukadhu, and since I was alone, kind of fell into the bad habit of working late at work and having food at untimely hours. Seri namma amma-va konja naal kooda vachukalam-nu call pannina, she tells me "Illama, naan varardhu kashtam, kuzhandaiku (?!) time-ku sapdalana acidity varum, romba kashta paduvan, naan enna panradhu?"...idho da, engaluku mattum udambu enna iron-laya seinju vachirukanga, sapdama irundha kooda onnum aagama irukardhuku??

Andha kuzhandai mattum porandhadhulerndhu ippo kalyanam aagi nalla post-la irukara varaikum kuzhandaiyave iruku, naan eppadi mudhallerndhe kuzhandaiyave illa? Now you know why I am a kuttichatan ;)

But all said and done, now is my turn - pazhiku pazhi rathathirku ratham - vara vaichittomla, torture arambichuda vendiyadhudhan ;)
