Ponmagal vandhal...I
It all started the day I decided to test if I was pregnant using a pregnancy stick and found that I was. Andha it-nradhu vera onnum illa, ennoda eternl kodumaidhan. Ofcourse, being pregnant-nradhu nalla vishayamdhan, aana andha perla nammalai padutharanga paarunga, iraivaaa!!
So yeah, mudhalla en eyes correct-adhan velai senjudha-nu verify panradhukaga blood test koduthen. Edho namma oor-na immediate-a doctor vandhu "congratulations, neenga pregnant-a irukeenga"-nu solvanga...but my UK, no way! Test result ketta, sorry, neenga pregnancy stick-aye rely pannikonga, we don't send such results-ntanga!! Ada paavigala, idhuku blood enya edutheenga?
So mukki thakki 12 weeks kazhichu monitor-la oru kutti paapa partha appuramdhan I believed I was pregnant..trust me, enaku sathiyama naan pregnant-a irundha madhiriye therila - absolutely no symptoms like we see in movies, vomit pannitu vantu "he he naan muzhugama irukken"-nu sollite vekka paduvangale - nothing like that. Namma kid koodava nammalai ippadi pannanum-nu yosichitte I was crossing each month having pregnacare, horlicks, and podhakuraiku I even got a heartbeat monitor... ennai indha timekulla almost Anjali paapa madhiri wall pidichu walk pannu-nu solladhadhu dhan kurai, avalo slow-va I was instructed to walk!
Then came the seemandham, adhula edhuku nose-kulla thanniya vidanumnu therila - that was what became the kodumai for me. The vadhiyar said "valadhu mooku" and my husband interpreted it as valadhu kadhu and let the water in my right ear, and the priest got confused and said "illa illa, idadhu" instead of saying it should be the nose, and I got the water in my left ear. Now the priest was sure to say "mooku" but forgot to mention it is the right nose, and I got the water in my left nose :( and finally everyone came to my rescue (idhuku mela enna rescue??) and the water was given rightly to my right nose.
