Yippeeee!!!! I got the project!! Friday evening dhan sonnanga (aanalum ivalo delay ayiruka venda, I had trouble finding resources in each department for the different things I needed for the trip) and I am traveling tomorrow!!


Thanks to all the anbunenjangal who wished, advised, encouraged, consoled etc etc me!! Ungalai ellam en blog friends-a perardhuku...seri seri...romba senti adichu kadupetha virumbala, but I mean my thanks :) Oh, I didnt tell you where I am traveling to, its London!

Ada ennatha solvenungo?!!

Here I am, precisely in the same state as I was on Tuesday when I wrote that post, wondering whatever happened to my interview...Purinjikka mattenrangale!!!

The TLM had been telling me that he will know on Tuesday, on Wednesday, on Thursday...but surprises!! he doesn't get to know! Adhu eppadi-nu dhan enakum therila..customer-oda meeting-nraru, mail anuparanga customer-nraru..aana information mattum illa-nrar!

Nethu I called him in the evening to ask him what happened, and he said they want to put me in another project coz they found me more suitable for something advanced (eppadi-nu enaku sathiyama pureela) but that would take time..and if I want to get into this immediately, I can opt for the one they had interviewed me for..I told him I will think about it.

Konjam makkaloda brainstorm (yeah yeah, brain ellam controversial topic dhan, I know) pannitu, I decided to get into this (onnume theriyadhu, idhuku enna advanced vendi kidaku) and tried reaching him..

Am really tensed up today..enna aagumo therila, here I am waiting for a client interview feedback for a project biting my already diminishing nails..

TLM: I am on another call, can you take it up t'row?
Me: that's what I wanted to talk...
TLM: I will give you a call later, but you are prepared for the interview tomorrow, right?

and he hung up!! I was flabbergasted, ennangada idhu aniyayama iruku..theriyadhadha assign panradhayum pantu, naalaiku interview-na enna artham?! I made a series of calls, and finally made this guy understand that I am totally new and I can have the interview on Monday. But 3 tools + concepts + methodologies in 3 days?!! Yarkavadhu idhu jaasthi time-nu thonichuna, let me know, definite-a kovil katren; but for my little brain, it looked like some huuuuuge mountain I am trying to cross..

I dont think I have done excellently, maybe not...but I have not left anything unanswered, so may be I will...but it might not have satisfied the customer, so nadakkadhu..aana idhuku mela enna answer panradhu-nu therila, so maybe they'd think otherwise...hayyo!!! Please let me know the results!!!!!!!

Nalla nalla Security nambi...

Ada ada ada, enna madhiri security ellam naatla irukanga, I am "impressed"! There are stuff you do as security, and there are procedures you follow to do those stuff. Aana procedure-a eppadi ellam intellectual-a seyyarangappaa...

Nethu I had been to the pantry along with 2 of my colleagues, and naamadhan Nyabagathin Nayagi aache, perfect-a mobile-a marandhu vachutu vanten. And I realized that only after I came back to my desk. I went up to the security once I reached the building and told him that I had lost the mobile:

Me: Its a Motorola

Me: Blue

He showed me the phone and I immediately acknowledged that it was mine.

Me: 'Karmam da! Naan poi pannumpodhu vera yaravadhu call panna naan-nu ninaipeengala?' (I called up from my colleague's mobile and the call went through and he was satisfied apparently. But again, how can he ascertain that it was from the mobile I had in hand, and not some co-incidence?)

I wrote everything down including my mobile # and took the phone from him. As he was handing over the phone, he asked me, "Indha mobile ungaladhudhane?"! He could have asked me where I had lost it in the first place. Secondly, he should have asked me to call up from the phone next to him, so that he can verify the number. Thirdly he also should have asked for my ID card when he wanted me to write down all the details. Onnu complete-a nambanum, illana suthama namba koodadhu..why do a half-baked enquiry? One thing that surprises me to the core is Sun Music channel. Paatu podaranga which is ok, aana some of the anchors in that crew...enna solradhu-nu therila.

Another time, a ninth std boy calls up and says that he isn't married (obviously) and this lady remarks 'Indha programme-ku thirumanam aanavanga mattumdhan call pannanum, aana idhai host panravanga thirumaname senjukka mattanga!' Enunga ammani, edhavadhu thathu pithu-nu pesardhu-nu sankalpam eduthurkeengala? Or are you insinuating at something else that's between you and Anandakannan? Yaaro sonnanga, Chennai Ooty madhiri iruku after those surprising rains here..appo I was grumbling that naama irukara idam ellam koluthum pola-ntu, coz Sydney was so damn hot with around 45 degrees on New Year day. Either I should be in the bad books of Mr. Sun or it should be the eternal game-plan of destiny that I should be in the wrong place at the wrong time!

And traffic!! Kadavule! Naan Chennai vittu oru 2.5 years munnadi kilambumpodhu it was ok, not so bad and I was one of the few crazy people who rode a bike as if it were some jet. And since I took my two-wheeler along with me when I got employed in another city, I didnt have a chance to ride whenever I came to Chennai for a weekend. Aana ippo parkanume!! Jeez, kanna pinna-nu ottaranga, and the roads are just fested with two-wheelers and four-wheelers that there is hardly a cm gap left between two vehicles. Moreover everyone drives madly, Chennai is full of people who have the aspiration to become bike-racers-ntu ninaikaren. Unfortunately ennoda two-wheeler ithanai naal naan uttutu pona kobathula pesa madandhai-ya vera poiducha, honk-um panna mudiyama I had to drive behind every cyclist on the road!

And don't ignore the land prices here..kanna pinna-nu shoot ayiruku ground rates and building rates. Saligramam-la oru 1600 sqft apartment is around 40L and R.A.Puram-la oru sq-ft-e 6000 bucks! So Annanagar, Mylapore ellam kekkave vendam, you can guess that. You go onsite once, and when you return, whatever you earn gets lost in the appreciation value of the land/building/apartment. Gee, othuntangoo!!!! I spoke to my manager regarding my next project and she said she is pushing for it..and the highlight was that she agreed to me staying in Chennai working out from the office here until I hear from them!!

Nalla kadhai alandhundhen nethu, I am working on the case study of the previous project, appuram oru tool panren (andha tool use panravan ellam kenai-nu later certificate koduthudalam-nu idea..), adhellam chamatha I am doing from Chennai, so ingaye irundhukarene-nu sonna udane No Probs-ntanga andha Devadai!!
